Teddy Bears Picnic

Last time I wrote about my teddy bear, Gregory who arrived in my life when I was three years old and living just off the seafront at Brighton.  Well, Hove actually, in Lower Market Street.  We had a very busy time together, going out and about.  Here is a photo of a picnic we had one afternoon in Brunswick Square in around 1961.  Gregory is sitting to my right, these were the days when he could sit up on his own because he had more stuffing.  The smaller teddy on his right is Little Ted, I haven’t seen him for years.  I enjoyed these outings, and I think Gregory did too.  I feel very lucky to have grown up in such a great place.

Here I am with Gregory and his friends enjoying a cup of tea.
