A – Z Challenge Day 2

Day 2 – The Letter B

Personal family history blog: Brighton beach   http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/

As I’ve written before, I practically grew up on Brighton beach and still walk along there regularly.  It’s such a great beach – but only if you like your beaches full of pebbles rather than sand.  I think it was character building – all those tiptoe runs from your towel to the sea and back.  And of course, no matter what the weather, the sea is always freezing.  I haven’t paddled in the sea for years, maybe this should be the summer I revisit those happy times!

Ah memories captivate our mind and deliver us back to such a happy place.

  2. Ah, Brighton Beach! I’ve spent many a happy hour wandering along those pebbles – painful underfoot if you’re off for a quick paddle, though.

Just dropped in here on the A-Z hop – this year I decided to post about my family history, none of my folks are from the south coast but the OH’s family has ties there in Hurstpierpoint and Eastbourne.

Family history is like a mental jigsaw-puzzle, don’t you think?
