Mystery War Wedding Photograph

In my father’s collection of war photographs is this one:

War Wedding

War Wedding

I have no idea whose wedding it is, but thought I’d just pop it on here and take a wild chance someone might recognise one of these people or the uniforms or the place.  My father is in the photo, that’s him at the top right, messing about with a girl’s hat!  This is typical of Dad, he’d be the one fooling around in the pictures!  It makes me smile to see him!

On the back of the photograph there is a stamp:

It indicates the photo was taken in Rome, and I know my father was there around 1945.
