Edith Cleeve – her later years

Edith’s husband, Ernest John Doswell died in June 1948, seven years after the death of their daughter, Dora. Dora’s husband, Frederick Ashbolt died in 1953. This left many years for Edith, alone. She lived until 1974.

In Edith’s later years she became quite ill with arthritis and her younger sister, Rose moved in to care for her.  Here is a photograph of them in 1951.
